What is the difference between cultured marble and Tyvarian?
Both are handcrafted, cast stone products made from a blend of crushed stone and resin. The main difference is the aesthetic: Cultured Marble typically features classic veining throughout the material, while Tyvarian uses a high-definition imaging process to mimic the look of granite, travertine, and exotic natural stones with incredible detail.
How long does a typical bathroom remodel take?
While every project is unique, the on-site installation of our custom slabs usually takes just 1 to 2 days. The entire process, from initial measurements and manufacturing in our Caldwell facility to final installation, typically takes a few weeks depending on our current production schedule.
Is your marble really "grout-free"?
Yes! We use large-format slabs that are custom-manufactured to fit your shower or tub walls perfectly. This eliminates the need for the thin grout lines found in tile, meaning there is nowhere for mold, mildew, or soap scum to hide.
Do I need to seal my new countertops or shower walls?
Unlike natural granite or marble, our cast stone and solid surfaces are non-porous and permanently sealed during the manufacturing process. You will never need to reseal them, saving you time and maintenance costs over the life of your bathroom.
Can I use regular household cleaners on these surfaces?
Absolutely. Because our surfaces are non-porous and chemically resistant, you can use most non-abrasive household cleaners. We recommend simple soap and water or a mild foaming cleaner to keep your bathroom looking brand new.
Do you handle the demolition of my old bathroom?
Yes. We offer full service remodeling, which includes the professional demolition and removal of your old shower, tub, or vanity, as well as necessary surface preparation before we install your new custom marble.
Can you install your materials over my existing tile?
In some cases, yes but we generally recommend removing old tile to inspect the underlying structure for water damage or rot. Our goal is a “lifetime” installation, so we prefer starting with a clean, professional grade substrate to ensure maximum durability.
Are your products made locally?
Yes! We are proud to be a locally owned Idaho business. All of our cultured marble and Tyvarian products are hand-cast right here in our facility in Caldwell, Idaho, allowing us to maintain strict quality control and support the Treasure Valley economy.
